The Danish Market Research Day 2010 was not the great success that previous Danish MR events have been. It was a nice day with great presentations, but the delegate turnout was disappointing and the economy shaky. Change was necessary and with the help of seven research companies securing the event and a new powerful partner, things look very promising for the 2011 version of the day.
It could very well be described as a match made in heaven. The DMD team has in previous years been able to attract top speakers and interesting exhibitors, but far too small numbers of research buyers. Huset Markedsføring, Denmarks largest player in marketing education, inspiration and news service, has 1600 persons interested in market research in their roster, but so far not much to offer them in terms of events. In DMD 2011, Henrik Hall and his Danish friends will take care of the professional content of the conference, i e speakers and exhibitors, whereas Huset Markedsføring will take care of marketing, practical arrangements, economy and registrations. This will ensure a more professional and smoother event, gathering many more delegates than last year.
To ensure that Henrik can work wholeheartedly creating a great programme for the day, without having to worry about financial issues, seven Danish MR companies have teamed up to offer a financial guarantee for the event. These event angels are: Megafon, Jysk Analyse, Norstat, Cint, YouGovZapera, Gads and Userneeds. The guarantee will only be released if something goes terribly wrong with the event and with such strong names believing in and offering moral and practical support to the event, the likelihood for this is very close to zero.
DMD is preliminary scheduled for May 5th at Cinemaxx in Copenhagen and call for contributions as well as exhibitors invitation will be distributed as soon as date and place are fixed.
